Attorney
Aimee M. Fowler, Esq.

Background
Aimee was born and raised in Morristown, TN, a small town in eastern Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University in Public Relations and Marketing. After graduating, she and her spouse at the time moved to Cleveland, OH, where she worked in human resources for Ernest & Young. After a year, Aimee took on a position at The Cortland Group, located just across the street from the Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, which sparked her interest in the legal system. Shortly after, she completed a paralegal program through Duquesne University. Aimee then began working at SKW under two corporate litigation attorneys and discovered through her experience that she wanted to be an attorney.
Aimee began attending law school at the Cleveland Marshall School of Law. While there, she worked in Fair Housing Law, specifically working with marginalized groups. After her second year of law school, Aimee moved to Boston, MA, where she completed her law degree at Boston University. She successfully graduated after that semester, receiving her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall in 2003.
Aimee sat for the Bar Exam in 2003 and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in December 2003. She did not immediately practice law as she had her daughter soon after. In 2005, Aimee moved to the metro Detroit area for her then-spouse’s job.
Aimee had her son a year later. Following this, she began as a volunteer attorney at Wayne County’s Prosecutor’s Office, working in the child abuse unit. While there, she began practicing and studying for the Michigan Bar Exam, which she passed in 2009. She worked for Wayne County’s Prosecutor’s Office as an attorney, continuing to work in the child abuse unit, until the summer of 2015.
After leaving the Prosecutor’s Office, Aimee set out to start her firm, practicing indigent criminal defense, and began handling family law cases. Her practice grew, and in 2017, she and Dan partnered to start their own firm, which has evolved to become the DFWN PLC. You know today.
Outside of work, Aimee enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and the family’s two dogs, Abraham and Thor. You will likely find her out in Grosse Pointe with her family or spending one-on-one time with other staff members of the firm, as she likes to create individual connections with everyone she works with.
