Background and Education

Mr. Nesi has been practicing law for 24 years, since he earned his law degree from Boston University in 1996. Mr. Nesi is licensed to practice law in Florida and Michigan. He also has privileges in a variety of Federal Courts. To begin his career, Mr. Nesi worked for the prestigious personal injury firm of Parillo Weiss & O'Halloran, where he flew across the State of Florida trying auto negligence cases. Mr. Nesi tried fifty suto negligence cases in his time with Parillo, before he decided to move back to Michigan. After returning to Michigan, Mr. Nesi worked as a clerk for the late Judge Arthur Lombard. After his clerkship concluded, Mr. Nesi spent a brief time litigating medical malpractice cases in Michigan, before he opened his own divorce and probate practice, Nesi & Associates, which he has run with great success for 16 years, until joining Fisher Fowler Dodson Williams & Nesi in October 2020. Since returning to Michigan, Mr. Nesi has become on of the State's top family law and divorce attorneys, with a practice that has gained him a sterling reputation across the State. Mr. Nesi handles the most complex and contentious divorces with deft practices and experience, allowing even highly stressed clients to proceed through their case with confidence. Mr. Nesi has handled divorce estates of all sizes and types, and will take on any client's case. Mr. Nesi's family law practice ranges widely, though his primary base is Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair and Washtenaw Counties. He has also had experience in Lapeer and Genesee Counties as well. However, Mr. Nesi isn't just a family lawyer. Mr. Nesi also has a thriving and successful probate and trust estate litigation practice. Mr. Nesi has been involved in several high profile probate and trust litigation matters, including the dispute over Rosa Parks' will, which took place in Wayne County Probate Court. In his probate and trust estate litigation practice, Mr. Nesi handles cases involving guardianships, conservatorships, will contests, and trust disputes, as well as also preparing estate planning for clients.

In his spare time, Mr. Nesi enjoys spending time with his two children, his two dogs, Fancy (French Bulldog) and Pumpkin (French Bulldog), but also enjoys fishing and boating on Lake St. Clair, reading fiction, and spending time with friends. Mr. Nesi is a longstanding member of "The Players" where he has performed in countless dramatic productions to wide acclaim.
